Update!

So, I actually have a legitimate reason this time for not posting in...forever...I'm PREGNANT and all the nausea doesn't always let me think very clearly. I am 10 weeks along so supposedly the constant feeling of wanting to throw up (and sometimes throwing up) should progressively get less and less. I was waiting till after my 1st appointment to post our news because I wanted to make sure everything was okay with the baby. Well, I had my appointment yesterday and no joke...it's TWINS. Here's the proof...

Hopefully the captions help. So first, yes it took us over a year to get pregnant but I never took any fertility meds. All we ended up needing was 2 months worth of ovulation tests. (I am so done peeing on sticks.) Second, yes, my sister that lives by me just had twins 8 months ago. I totally thought the Dr was joking because what are the odds that I would have twins (apparently 1 in 80) and my sister JUST had twins and he is her Dr too.

I had to beg Brett for weeks to come to the appointment with me and he finally decided the day before that he would come. It's a good thing because I don't think he would have believed me otherwise. When the Dr told us I started laughing, shaking & crying. My next appointment is in a month and I get to have an ultrasound every month to make sure both babies are growing. (both...because I'm having two! It's still unreal!) I'll try and be better about updating!

Ward Trunk or Treat

On Saturday we had our ward trunk or treat and chili cook off (which was totally rigged). Our nephews were so cute! The twins are two of the happiest babies I know! Alison has more pictures with Preston and Cordie in them on her camera. So don't worry, there's more.

An additon and lots of Cordie

So I love October! The weather has been perfect. It's cool enough that we turned off our air and we open windows during the day. I had my birthday on the 17th and it was perfect. Brett got me roses, I got a massage, went to lunch with my friend, ate tons of ice cream and Brett took me clothes shopping!

We recently had an addition to the family. Rocky III! I'll tell you the delivery story. I was at Wal-mart and I got distracted and somehow ended up by the pet stuff. I saw Rocky III and knew it was time. It was a little rough but I was able to get him to the register okay to pay for him. I had to drive my self home but I did fine and I was feeling good enough to fill up his bowl with water and put him in it. All before Brett even got home!

Now here are just some random pictures I've been meaning to post. The first couple are of Cordie at my parent's house. They just got new carpet and I didn't want to take any chances that she night have an accident.

This is Cordie's Halloween costume! I wasn't going to dress her up but my sister Alison told me that her son Preston was going to be Winnie the Pooh and Brigham and Caleb were dressing up as honey bees and I saw this honey bee costume and I couldn't resist!

...down by the river

Brett and I we went canoing down the Salt River with my family. I went with my family on Memorial Day but Brett didn't go so I thought it would be fun to go again with him too. We decided to go on Saturday instead of Monday, Labor Day, because that's when all the drunk people go tubing down the river. It was perfect! The weather was great and we saw a lot of really cool animals.

This is a picture right before we got in the boats. Brett, my brother Spencer and his girlfriend Cristina, my dad, my sister Alison and her husband Mike.

Here is a calm part of the river. I didn't take any pics of the rapids because I was busy paddling so we wouldn't die.

Here's another view of the river. Arizona really is beautiful!

We saw quite a few of these blue cranes. I had no idea birds like that lived in AZ.

We also saw wild horses with their babies. We got super close!

You can't see it very well but there's a bald eagle flying in front of the mountain. We also saw its huge nest.

More pictures of us rowing our boats gently down the stream. I have to add that at the first rapids the other 2 boats tipped over but Brett and I didn't tip the whole time!

This is where we ended and took the boats out.

One last shot of beautiful AZ!

Swimmin' with the boys!

My sister has this pic on her blog already but the twins are so cute so I wanted to spread the cuteness!

Also, I published a post I had saved and it posted out of order. So look down a little ways and there is another new post about our grass and our dog...I know, very exciting.

Girls Camp!!

Here are most of the girls right before the bishop's challenge. They did awesome!

The girls again!

Playing in the rain!

Part of the bishop's challenge, pulling a bug by a rope!

Me doing the rope walk!

Just sharing some of my mad bowhunting skills.

Me and Brianna taking a break on the hike.

Heather and me on the bridge watching the girls do the rope walk.

Finally...a surprise visitor at 1 am. The girls heard a noise and were freaking out so I lifted us the tarp over the top of the door and a skunk was getting into our cooler and eating our cookies!! All the snacks in the cooler smelled like skunk after that! And, lucky us... he came back 2 more times for more!

Kickn' it in Show Low

We had a Darger family reunion in Show Low at my grandparent's cabin a few weekends ago.

The trip consisted of eating, games, holding the twins, playing on the water slide, paintball, riding quads, scrap booking, watching movies outdoors, horse shoe competition, canoing on the pond, catching frogs, a Darger family talent show and so much more!

Brett and I finally got to use our tent that we got for Christmas! Notice the little doggie tent attached to the back, pretty sweet! Cordie liked it at night until it started thundering then she jumped on top of our sleeping bags. Brett didn't love that part.

Here's my brother Spencer and my dog Cordie hangin' in the rain, there was singing too.

My grandparents also bought an awesome water slide thingy. Loads of fun!...it would have been funner if the hose water wasn't so cold!

Overall, the reunion was awesome and it was fun to see my peeps, but I was way sad everyone couldn't come.
